Allow God to Heal Your Hidden Wounds

A few weeks ago I felt the sharp pain of a paper cut while using hand sanitizer. The pain was very jarring because I didn’t know the paper cut was there. But now that the cleansing power of the alcohol sanitizer revealed this hidden wound, I couldn’t ignore it. I had to pause what I was doing and care for the paper cut to ensure proper healing.

When God takes us through a cleansing process He will reveal hidden wounds that you may have thought were healed. And just like with hand sanitizer, the revelation of hidden wounds can cause sharp pain. Once revealed, the wound can’t be ignored. It’s important that we pause, acknowledge the pain and allow God to fully heal us so that we can be truly free in Him! In John 10:10 Jesus tells us that He has come so that we can live an abundant life!

As our desire for Christ grows, His desire to refine us will increase…so that we will become more and more like Him. This week I challenge you to ask God to reveal any hidden wounds in your life. When He does, trust Him to heal the pain and allow the cleansing power of Jesus’s blood to bring restoration to all your broken places.
